A New Way of Experiencing God Everyday

Through baptism, Jesus calls on us all to be missioners. He calls some of us to a uniquely enriching life overseas, serving God’s children in need as missionary priests and brothers.

Are you called to a life of mission, to live the sacraments and preach the gospel by feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and reaching out to outcasts?
STEPS TO
YOUR CALLING

A Life of Mission

Are you called to a life of mission, to live the sacraments and preaching the gospel by feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and reaching out to outcasts?

Maryknollers are Compassionate, Adventurous, Embrace Unknown Lands & Cultures, and Model the Mercy of Jesus.

Since 1911, Catholics in the US have responded to the worldwide cry of the poor by becoming Maryknoll Missioners. Today, Maryknollers help people overseas build communities of faith.

Some work in war zones with refugees, others minister to the sick, the elderly, orphans or people with AIDS. Through lives of service, Maryknollers translate the gospel of love into different languages and in different cultures.

Meet the men spreading God’s Love & Mercy to those in need throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Social Justice & Caring for God’s Creation

We live in solidarity with the poor around the world, and actively support them through advocacy, solidarity and education. As missionaries, we are called to lend a strong voice to the poor, the neglected, and those living the margins of society. Maryknollers are also committed to caring for our planet and all of God’s Creatio

We believe that every creature has the right to be; the right to its habitat; and the right to make its own contribution to all of life.

Maryknoll celebrates our interconnectedness with Earth, the responsibility to care for our common home, and applaud Pope Francis’ advocacy to act decisively to save Earth and humanity—particularly displaced and marginalized communities who carry the greatest burden from climate change.

A Life Fueled by Compassion

“We must care for each other as sisters and brothers on this Earth…and we are all united together in this call to be compassionate.”
