Catechist Training

In Tanzania, among other nations, there is a growing need for lay catechists to help evangelize. Priest and religious do much, but as the last four popes have agreed, the vocation of catechist has become crucial.

Father Hung M. Dinh, M.M., is looking to support catechists with a formal training regimen that will help them better understand Church teaching, their role and how they can support the larger Church with their important work. Through structured formation and ongoing mentorship, catechists will gain the tools needed to accompany their communities in faith. Strengthening catechist training will help ensure that the Gospel continues to reach even the most remote communities.
