{"id":3525,"date":"2024-12-02T22:16:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-02T22:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.maryknollsociety.org\/magazine\/?p=3525"},"modified":"2025-12-31T15:25:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T15:25:10","slug":"prayer-for-vocations-winter-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.maryknollsociety.org\/magazine\/prayer-for-vocations-winter-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Prayer for Vocations, Winter 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Star of the Magi<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I want to discern my <a href=\"https:\/\/maryknollsociety.org\/vocations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vocation<\/a>, Jesus.<br>But right now my life is a bit complicated.<br>I seem to have lost sight of the Star.<br>I heard that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryknollmagazine.org\/2024\/01\/the-epiphany-a-maryknoll-reflection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">three Magi<\/a> returned to their country by a different route.<br>Without the star.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can I discern my vocation through a different route?<br>A different star? A different start?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contemplating a decision to align my life with yours, Jesus,<br>I can\u2019t help but think that the journey ahead<br>is too long.<br>Is my star really gone?<br>I hear a resounding No. The star is not gone,<br>I hear you say. It is inside me, you whisper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Help me trust more, Jesus,<br>To go where there is no road.<br>Sustain me.
